About
We are a Colombian non-profit organization that cares deeply about the local peasants and indigenous people who live in rural areas.
The Colombian countryside has been for more than 60 years the scene for multiple conflicts, the siege and enclosure of armed groups and agents of the state. This provoked one of the most critical scenarios in the country, the displacement of peasants towards the cities, the indiscriminate mining exploitation, the possession of great extensions of land on the part of a few and more.
As a result small farmers have lived in conditions of poverty and inequality, their work does not even provide for their food, they do not have access to education (especially secondary and higher education), nor do they have the appropriate tools and supplies for their work. In this way future generations are condemned to live in the same way.
Currently the Peace process is under constant attack and its continuity is threatened, however the communities perceive many opportunities and hope, because over the years they have waited for policies that guarantee life, conserve land, promote education and agricultural research to improve their practices and make the countryside a space of opportunities, competitive, sovereign and with guarantees to live a life in dignity.
It is for these reasons that Fundación Nave* decides to work for small farmers in unprotected, vulnerable and marginalized areas in order to build spaces where the rule is to live harmoniously with the land and its inhabitants.
*Nave means spaceship in Spanish.
All hands to the ship for education!
Our Mission
Contribute to the development of educational processes and spaces for small farmers in vulnerable areas of Colombia, where psychosocial support is provided to producers and their families and the practice of circular agriculture and trade of their products is promoted.

Our Vision
Through education, we strive to dignify the lives of small farmers and future generations. This is achieved by articulating with their community, where they cooperate with each other, and are actors of change who create and execute ideas for the conservation of the land and its resources, the sovereignty of its food, and its economic security.
